Booking Window: Schedule services anytime, up to one business day in advance.
Short Notice Bookings: Bookings requested within 24 hours are considered short notice and include a $25 surcharge. We recommend booking early to secure your preferred times.
Availability: All bookings depend on availability. We may need to decline a booking if we’re fully booked or have scheduling conflicts.
Service Windows: Visits are scheduled within a 4-hour window to allow for proper planning and routing. Flexibility may be necessary, and specific arrival times cannot be guaranteed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Standard Cancellations: Cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled service to avoid fees.
Late Cancellations: Less than 48 hours’ notice = 50% of the scheduled service fee.
Last-Minute Cancellations: Within 8 hours = 100% of the service fee.
Company-Initiated Cancellations: If we cannot perform a service, you will not be charged. Full refunds will be issued if payment was already made, and a courtesy discount for a future visit may be offered.
Payment Timeline: Full Payment is due at the time of signing or no later than the first day of scheduled service. Payment must be placed in a conspicuous area, and the pet professional must be notified before arrival.
Accepted Methods: Cash or check. Credit/debit cards will be accepted once our scheduling software is in place.
Returned Checks: The client is responsible for all bank fees incurred and must reimburse Mr. Belly Rubs Pet Services for any costs resulting from a returned check. A $50 flat-rate surcharge will also be added to the final bill.
Payments not received within the timeframe described above will result in a $50 flat rate fee added to your final bill.
Tips and Gratuity: At Mr. Belly Rubs, gratuity is never required – but we certainly won’t say no! We gratefully accept any tips or other gestures of appreciation beyond the agreed-upon price. If you’re thrilled with our service, feel free to show your gratitude however (and as generously) as you’d like – there’s never any pressure. 100% of all tips and gratuity go directly to your Pet Professional; Mr. Belly Rubs keeps nothing.
Pet Health & Behavior: Disclose all relevant medical, behavioral, and compatibility information.
Supplies: Clients provide all food, leashes, litter, medications, and other necessary items.
Insufficient Supplies: If additional supplies are required to properly care for your pet, a convenience fee will be applied in addition to the replacement cost of the items purchased. Payment is due immediately following the final service date.
Home Access: Keys, lockboxes, garage codes, or other agreed methods must be provided before service.
Access Failure: If we cannot access your home at the scheduled time, full service fees will apply.
Unless the client chooses to "Opt Out" of life-saving measures, Mr. Belly Rubs will automatically:
Immediate Action: In a pet medical emergency, we will contact the nearest emergency vet, or one designated on the contract, and/or the owner immediately.
Owner Unreachable: If the pet requires urgent care and the owner cannot be reached, we will transport the pet to the nearest veterinarian or one designated on the contract.
Costs: All emergency care costs are the owner’s responsibility, including but not limited to additional costs to Mr. Belly Rubs, such as travel, time, supplies, etc.
Service Modifications Due to Weather
Extreme Conditions: Excessive heat, cold, lightning, heavy rain, or other weather risks may modify outdoor services.
Alternative Activities: Indoor playtime or shorter walks may be provided. Full-service fees still apply.
Refunds & Service Interruptions
Missed Services (Our Error): Full refund or no charge, plus a possible courtesy discount for a future visit.
Missed Services (Client Error): No refund or credit will be issued.

Liability & Animal Behavior Policy
In-Home Services: All care is provided in the client’s home using client-supplied items.
Right to Refuse Service: We may refuse or discontinue services if a pet displays aggression or poses a safety risk.
Owner Responsibility: Clients are fully responsible for any injuries, property damage, or veterinary expenses resulting from their pet’s behavior, undisclosed habits, or pre-existing conditions.
Limited Liability: Mr. Belly Rubs Pet Services is not liable for incidents, accidents, or damages caused by unpredictable pet behavior.
Third-Party Interactions: Pets will not be introduced to other animals without prior approval.
Difficult Pet Surcharge: A $10 per-visit surcharge may be applied if a pet requires care or handling beyond normal expectations. This fee may be added after the initial quote if behavior differs from the original description.
Animal Welfare & Reporting Policy
At Mr. Belly Rubs, the health, safety, and well-being of all animals in our care is our top priority. As a professional pet care provider, we are ethically and legally obligated to report any suspected cases of animal abuse, neglect, or severe malnutrition observed during service. If, during a visit, a pet appears to be in distress or living in unsafe or unhealthy conditions, Mr. Belly Rubs reserves the right to document concerns and notify the appropriate animal welfare authorities. Our goal is never to penalize, but to advocate for the animal’s safety and ensure all pets receive the care and attention they deserve.
Holiday Surcharge: Services during major holidays incur a $50 surcharge.
Availability: Holiday bookings are limited and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Due to varying circumstances, some add-on charges may be applied in addition to the original invoice after services are completed. This may result in a different grand total or remaining balance, even if the initial service payment has already been made.

*Mileage Surcharge: +$1.50 per mile (round trip) for locations beyond 10 miles from the client’s home or outside Mr. Belly Rubs’ standard service area.

Service Add-Ons & Surcharges
Short Notice Booking: +$25 Flat rate (applies to bookings made within 24 hours notice)

Additional pets: +$10 for the second pet, $5 for each additional pet per visit.
*Puppy, or Difficult Pet Surcharge: +$10 per visit (applies to pets under 1 year old, not house-trained, or that display challenging behaviors, have not been properly socialized or trained, or require additional time and handling beyond typical care. The surcharge may be added after the initial contract quote if the pet’s behavior or needs differ from the pet parent's original description.)
